About me

Ever since I was a little girl I have always wanted to write. Write what? I had no idea. I still have no idea, but this is a start. Inspired by my father, who for a long time worked in a job that required him to travel internationally on a regular basis, I realised that it was okay not to do what my friends were doing. It’s okay not to go straight to university out of Sixth Form or college and it’s okay to take a chance on something that might not work out straight away. This is why I am here today.

I am a 19 year old girl who has lived the majority of her life in a small English town. But I haven’t let that hold me back, I have always had a ‘go getter’ attitude and would put my name down for anything. I wish I could say that I’d traveled to more places independently, but considering I’m still in my teens I still have plenty of time and big plans. I have taken part in projects all over England ranging from youth work with young people with special needs to international road safety campaigns. I have traveled twice to Austria on a youth exchange project, once as a participant and then two years later as a youth leader. I’m a big fan of the outdoors having achieved my Gold Duke of Edinburgh award and having parents who encouraged outdoor education as much as possible. November 2016 I traveled over to Africa for a month, working in a community center with local people and staying with a friend who provided me with life changing opportunities. Now I’m living in Spain, the first time living away from home and I had to take it to the extreme. So far it’s been very much an experimental experience but it’s changed my life and that’s what I want to continue doing going into my 20s.

I hope you enjoy following my story as it is simply one of a normal English girl who’s working really hard to create a strong, independent future for herself. I have never had much money or really felt the need to have it, I’d like to prove a point that you don’t need to have all the money in the world, just the right attitude to go out there and get the world yourself.
